The home office maintains and supports an extensive field staff to supervise these students and their placements. All the matching, tracking and record-keeping functions are managed through a system of FileMaker Pro databases developed and maintained by Micro Computer Consulting since 1996. Families can apply via the Web to be host families, and their National Field Director accesses the database system remotely via a TCP/IP connection from Arizona, tracking the performance of hundreds of local field staff, so the students and their host families are closely supported and monitored.
