Services:
We endeavor to help your people do their work their way, rather than trying to fit your people and their tasks into some pre-designed mold. That's why every database we do is different from the others, even when the basic functions of data processing are comparable.

Database Design:
Starting from wherever you are with your present database system (even if it is nowhere), we listen to you to determine where you want to be with your data, and then design a way to get you there. That process may include:
- Analyzing your needs and capabilities;
- Proposing a structure for your information that will accommodate your needs;
- Estimating what it will take to build the database system;
- Mapping the steps in the process;
- Writing a development plan with a budget and a timeline.
Database Customization:
Sometimes, people already have a database system, but they just want to get more use out of it, fix problems with it, or make it work better. In these cases, we can just jump right in and work with you on:
- Expanding your existing FileMaker Pro database system;
- Re-structuring your system to better match the information in it;
- Adding features or functions you have been wanting in your database;
- Converting your old database systems to newer ones;
- Uncovering new capabilities you didn't know you could have;
Database Development:
When we build a new database (or rebuild an old one), we use your typical information as an example, then construct or revise a series of database files or tables to hold that information. From there, we go through the steps of:
- Creating tables and fields to hold your information;
- Designing layouts or forms for entering, processing, and outputting data;
- Writing scripts that facilitate common tasks;
- Constructing buttons that trigger scripts;
- Building a user interface that is intuitive and easy to use.
Database Training:
Training actually begins when we start working with you, and continues all the way through the project. At each stage in the process, we:
- Listen to your needs, questions, and desires;
- Explain what you need to know to understand your database system;
- Demonstrate how the system we are building together is working;
- Tutor you on how to make it work;
- Watch you work with the system under actual conditions; and
- Coach you when you are having problems with it.
Training can be formal, in groups of varying sizes, by the demonstration method, or less formal by hands-on tutorials.
